'very' first car?
A 1966 Chevrolet Biscayne. Back then, Chevrolet designated models by name, not by Options. Biscayne's were the cheapest, most basic models available. Straight-Six, 3-on-a tree manual transmission (Column Shifter) Manual Steering, Manual Brakes, ALL in a Full-Size 2-Door Sedan. Bench Seats, sat six, NO Seatbelts either. Ran the ever living piss outa that car till it died exactly a year after I got my driver's license.

Rambler American, don't remember the year but it was one of the last ones they made. It was old when I got it and I drove it for a year or so until the engine died. It had a big hole in the floor on the front passenger side that had to be covered by a piece of plywood. I think it cost me $100.

I can drive some cars in my family (like Renault R12 or Seat Malaga) but the first which become my own car was the Opel Astra sport! Nice car, sure, but 3 months after I sold out, the engine was broken hahaha

Austin 1100, passed down from Mum to my brother and then to me! Brilliant car as you could get me and five mates in it (bit of a squash) and we would zoom off to be a nuisance someplace, many happy memoires in that car :)

1960 Chrysler Windsor with the big fins in the rear. It was huge and guzzled gas like crazy. When you shut it off, you had to wait about a half hour for it to cool down or else it wouldn't start. It was a real clunker, but it was my first car and I loved it.
