Rapidgator - Phone # Authentication

Now Rapigator is asking for a phone number to Authenticate credit card - does anyone know if this is safe? I don't like the idea at all.

I really don't know, but in my opinion it sounds a bit fishy...

If you give personal information away you never know where it will end up...

Mmm... I don't see how the phone call helps security - I would call your card provider and ask if this is now becoming part of their standard security/authentication procedures

Thanks guys for answering, but on Rapidgator Premium page, even before entering Card information you get:

"Credit Card Pre-Verification

Our system is going to send you a SMS in a few seconds and you'll receive a PIN-Code just to verify you as the legitimate owner of the credit card.
You'll be redirected to the payment page as soon as you enter the correct PIN-Code into the appropriate field.

by SMS by Voice

Phone: "

They just lost a Premium customer as far as I'm concerned.

I don't see how this necessarily helps security much. If someone steals your card they can use any 'phone to get that code

maybe this explains why RG is adding a lil more security now...

a few days ago my credidcard company mailed me and also sent me a sms that they suspect my visacard data were accessed by 3rd party for possible abuse, the card was new because of regular expiration (6 Weeks ago) and was changed also with a new ID, and i only did a few purchases with it, also on Rapidgator that time so it could be that they had a data leak or something else. Actually i can reduce this to 4 merchants where i used the card since, but for some reason RG was my first thought when i was informed about that. My bank sent me a new card already with new ID with no extra fees. Lost no money or anything but anyway i will no longer buy RG premium :nail biting:

I had a situation similar to Jamoo. I've had rapidgator for a long time. A few months ago, there was suspicious activity on my visa card, apparently from China.
My visa provider cancelled the card, and issued a new one.

I was uncertain if I would keep the rapidgator account, but they never stopped the service. They don't have a credit card to bill me monthly, but my premium account continues.

For guys who dl a lot of porn real-debrid is a service which is very reliable and downloads dozens of sites including RG as a member...sometimes certain uploaders links do not work because of membership dl limitations they have but usually with RD is it only hours or at most a day...and the cost is minimal...17 euros for 6 months...

Have been using RD for several years now. They do have issues with service going down every now and then but for the cost you cant beat it.
