I just got informed that I will have go to Italy for a week in September - a paid work-holiday.
My ideal job had always involved assignment to dream distant destinations. The jobs that I actually held involved just the occasional visits to industrial shows (usually to Germany and Switzerland). When I was on the verge of closing the deal with a young fellow to take over my bakeshop, he suddenly disappeared. Two years later, when somebody else had taken his place, it turned out that he got a job offer as pastry baker for the cruise ship Queen Mary. Now without considering the strict demands and hectic schedule of a tightly run cruise ship (and the constant bobbing of the vessel in rough weather) I thought, that would have been a dream job for me.

Following his incredibly brave action - climbing 4 storeys up from balcony to balcony to save a small child for falling - Mamoudou Gassama, now knick-named "the Malian Spiderman" is to be made a French citizen and following his meeting with the President has been given a medal for courage and promised a job with the fire/rescue service

I was in town shopping this morning when we had a really heavy downpour of rain and I got soaked BUT so did everyone else... so lots of fit young men with dripping wet tracksuit bottoms clinging to every bump and curve
