Hi,
I tried to download a series of images from P&H, and the zip-download function did not work. It was 13 pages in total, each with 30 images, and I decided there must be a better way than manually downloading everything. That's when I found an interesting Firefox-Extension called "ImageHost Grabber" that exactly does what I expect from it: it downloads all images from the current page - not only the small thumbnails! So i was down to one click per page instead of 30! Here's how it works:
1) Installation
In Firefox, open the "Tools" menu and select "Add-ons". In the dialog, select "Get Add-ons" and enter "Imagehost" into the search field:
Add the extension to Firefox. Then, restart the browser.
2) Using it
Now you have a new entry in the "Tools" menu: "ImageHost Grabber". Here you have different functions, the one I suggest you try first is "Get all pics on page". Note: you can access the same functions from the context-menu (right-click).
To test-drive the function, go to a sample P&H album page, e.g. "http://www.pimpandhost.com/album/746713-Untitled.html" (I found this sample album by browsing, I'm not sure how long it'll last). Now do a "Get all pics on page". Now you need to select a destination folder for the pics. Select one of your choice. Being the first time around, ImageHost Grabber asks you if you want to update the hosts file. Click "OK", because this file contains the information how to download the maximum resolution images for a several hosts. Afterwards, ImageHost Grabber tells you you are about to enter overwrite mode. Click "OK". Now the download manager opens and puts all full-res-images from the current page into the folder you selected - not only the thumbs:
There's more to explore in the options section of the tool, but I leave this up to you. The tool also has a function to pull all images from a forum thread with several pages, but it doesn't seem to work with GH.
