Datafile

I had a premium membership with datafile for 90 days, which has expired.
When I went to renew, they now make it so that your credit card is automatically
recharged at the end of your subscription period. I didn't like this change and decided not to renew.



But I was able to download a 141 MB file for free. It took about 35 minutes for me.

seems thats normal for much service websites

today i have bought a membership for frenchtw.....com , they have also automatic renewal.

but anytime i can cancel this subscription.

I'm not completely sure, the problem with the capture may have been resolved. Yesterday, after reading this thread, I again tried to download a video from earlier this month that I had not been able to. It seemed like maybe Unwin had or somebody had brought it to datafile's attention - thank you. I did have to wait 30 minutes before the clip would download - which is not a big deal - but it did download - which is a big deal . I also tried a clip today which went through just fine - but I had not had problems downloading from that person's works anyway.
As far as banning: I think if there is a filehost that nobody - or only a select few - can use most uploaders will change filehosts on their own. I think we have seen this in the past. Hopefully the problem with the capture has been resolved anyway.

I made last summer -june- a subscription to DATAFILE. For one month only, because downloading was very-very slow for me.
At the end of the year I recieved this mail (see att. file):

Since that day, DATAFILE make me pay. I wrote twice on their support form and two e-mails. Nobody answers... Thieves?

Hello,

revoke their direct debit authority and let the payment book to your account again from your bank. I think at least then they will answer to your e-mails and explain, why they want money from you.
