I read an interesting report today that a study has been undertaken over the last years to find out if HIV infection rates of men practising unsafe gay sex can be lowered with the help of anti-HIV drugs. Basically, the study comes to the conclusion that more than 90% of HIV infections caused by unsafe sex between men could be avoided. Of course this raises further discussions, since the drugs are very expensive and the side effects are unknown yet. The result of this study is released at a time where HIV infection rates in the US are on the rise again.

If you comment on this, keep in mind this is not a statement of mine pro/con unsafe sex.
