Tonight it could be toad in the hole. That may take some explaining to non-UK residents and no it doesn't contain a toad.

OK - I'm happy and I'm breathe a sigh of relief that your meal wouldn't contain a "toad". :worried:X_X

But perhaps you can tell me or us what this will be for a gourmet cuisine????

This is the description:

Toad in the hole or sausage toad is a traditional British dish consisting of sausages in Yorkshire pudding batter, usually served with onion gravy and vegetables. Google has plenty of images! It is very nice. Tonight was somewhat more well known, steak with chips (fries to some), peas, tomatoes and fried onions. I am now full to the brim.

Thank you so much Racerboy about this clarification. I've never had it onto my plate - but you know: things can always change! ;)

Only the name is for my ears and my imagination a little bit weird (sorry!). Steak with fries - well that is something substantial and I like it as well. But as a German I like it well-done! :)
