I don't believe this! Except I do. Carrie Fisher told NPR in November that Debbie had suffered two strokes in 2016 and barely survived. She was very frail and had trouble getting around. So, it does make sense. I am so sorry for the loss for her son Todd and granddaughter Billie.

Debbie Reynolds Dead at 84; Singin' in the Rain Star Passes 1 Day After Death of Daughter Carrie Fisher
E! Online

In her day, Debbie Reynolds did it all. Subsequently, her day lasted for decades.

The actress, who became a national treasure as the star of one of the most beloved movies of all time and went on to enjoy a nearly 70-year career in film, television and theater, has died. She was 84. In confirming her death, son Todd Fisher told E! News, "She went to be with Carrie. In fact, those were the last words she spoke this morning."

Reynolds was hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after suffering a stroke at a Beverly Hills home, barely a day after daughter Carrie Fisher died at the age of 60 following a heart attack.

Here is Carrie Fisher introducing her mother last year for her Screen Actor's Guild Lifetime Achievement Award.

(Carrie begins at the 1:50 mark)

I was shocked to hear this. A day after her daughter. How much does one family have to take?

May she rest in eternal peace side by side with her daughter.

So sad...
I wasn't expecting this! We've lost some wonderful celebrities this year. She's played some wonderful characters, I loved her as Grace's mother in Will & Grace.

Billie Lourd shared some advice her grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, gave her when she decided to become an actor.

In an Entertainment Tonight interview Todd Fisher talked in some more detail about Debbie's passing.

Todd Fisher reveals mom Debbie Reynolds' state of mind after Carrie Fisher's death
LA Times

Todd Fisher, son of Debbie Reynolds and brother of Carrie Fisher, had some intense conversations with his mother in late December immediately following the "Star Wars" actress' death.

Reynolds wasn't overly dramatic after her daughter's death, Fisher said. While he was the one crying after they left the hospital on Dec. 26, his mother "truly understood" what had happened, he said.

"[T]he next morning, we had a little further dialogue and she chose to leave the planet in front of my face two feet away. If you had told me this story and I wasn't there, I would have a very hard time believing what I saw." Reynolds died Dec. 28...

"My mother said to me, the night that Carrie died -- I didn't know what was happening but she was setting me up for her leaving the planet," Fisher told "Entertainment Tonight" on Wednesday, just a few days before a memorial service for both women. "She literally looked at me and said, 'I want to be with Carrie,' and closed her eyes and went to sleep."...

Added Fisher, "I'm really OK with Debbie's exit, not so OK with Carrie's exit, 'cause Carrie was in the middle of what was, I thought, her finest hours. Her creativity was peaking, the 'Star Wars' thing was obviously back in spades. Everything that she was doing was turning to gold."

It's just so sad! When watching, "Bright Lights" you can see how these two women loved each other and how frail Debbie was.

Lovely actress.
I thought about her the other day after watching Will & Grace! She would have been hilarious, still.
