I have to say I used to enjoy my daily morning dose of hot men in all those archived galleries. Quick, easy, usually with some particular theme according to the fetish of the poster. Just click on a link of someone who re-posted and you'd get yet another huge gallery of men.

Now where does one go for (almost) daily updates of hot men picture galleries?

What was so nice is often the posters were from foreign countries (from mine) so you didn't see the same endless popular pornstars. Tall thin fat amateur professional hairy bald doing yoga with socks or cut or not or whatever it was all there.

Fuck I miss Tumblr.

Has everything just splintered or has something risen to the top to become it's replacement?

thx

I downloaded a ton of my favorite posts, then deleted them from my tumblr account before I realized that only hardcore porn was being filtered not hot guy pictures that are not that explicit. So some tumblrs are still going. (letthemeatit)

The not-yet-censored portions of certain tumblrs can be viewed on tumbex, e.g.

Top Best Alternative to Tumblr

1. Pillowfort is one of the best alternatives of Tumblr after the ban of its NSFW contents.

2. Newgrounds was the first to welcome the migration of users from Tumblr to their site.

3. Sharesome is a new space and getaway for users to get in adult social networks.

Craigslist shut down the personals section in response to Senate bill H.R.1865 which, in an effort to curtail online sex trafficking, says websites are responsible for unlawful behaviors made possible because of their personals sections.
I've since discovered a new site that's active in Phoenix doublelist.com

I've been using NέwTumβl. Just do a search for it using real letters. ;-) You have to sign up to join, choose a "comfort" level or the level of images you will/could be posting/viewing, and you're pretty much in. No fees or anything like that.

The functionality is shockingly similar and there are a lot of refugees there from The Site Which Shan't Be Mentioned. It does have some issues, though. That comfort level or rating system is a little confusing. It's not like the MPAA ratings -- G to X -- but each one has a short description so that's not too bad, some are not at all intuitive. On the upside, someone who has a lower level rating won't (shouldn't?) be able to see more adult/extreme (their phrase, not mine) posts of yours or other bloggers.

The biggest issue seems to be the monitors and flags. I think there are dedicated site monitors, but the biggest problem -- at least in the early stages -- was the peer monitors. Other members can flag/report/demerit a post of yours or other blogs, however there didn't seem to be a reason option for that. They just report/flag and it came down. The guy behind the site, Dean, says not to worry about it now as they're all too busy coding and working on layout to give a darn about self-righteous nutters. Several members have complained about that aspect and requested reviews. Most seem to have been resolved -- whether that was one-to-one with the developer(s) or review team, I can't say.

NέwTumβl does have a working messaging system, though I've never used it others seem happy with it.

If you were a member of or fan of The Site Which Shan't Be Mentioned, then you should be relatively at ease using and navigating NέwTumβl.

Great, but ... any hints on accounts to follow? Search isn't finding any.

I would definitely say Twitter. Although there seems to be a crackdown on some very popular gay porn stars now (Rhyheim Shabazz, Italo Andrade, etc..)
