I don’t know if this qualifies as gay news, but I need to get this out of my system. Yesterday, in the Swedish election, a nationalist party recieved 5.7% of the votes. With 4% being the required line to cross, this means they make it into our parliament. It is unclear what role they will play, since the other seven parties expresses no desire to work with them.
The party claims to support LGBT-people. However, they are against the right for same sex couples to marry, adopt or inseminate.
What follows is a statement made by their party secretary in 2007:
”What says that the, so called, normalization ends with LGBT-people becoming culturally "normal”? Why not people who engage in bestiality (sex with animals) or pedophilia (sex with minors)? These sexual deviants are not normal, & will never be normal. Normal is that wich we humans were made for, that is to produce offspring & ad to the family tree.”
