"I wish I could put this off for a little while longer but information like this usually finds a way of coming out sooner than later. In fact, people have already begun to talk so I might as well just tell you now. I tested positive. I have only myself to blame. I have HIV and it kind of sucks."

I just remembered this quote from Mason's blog:

That's a direct quote... I really don't have anything to add other than wishing him well.

Well that's sad. Poor bloke. Hope he stays healthy and happy as much as he can.

That's really sad and I wish him well, but it makes me wonder just how many other performers might be positive?

The sad truth: probably more than a few... it turns out Mason was less than honest about his infection; according to his ex-roommate, Porter Wescott's Twitter. Apparently, Mason was telling others that he had contracted Hepatitis C and not HIV... Mason was known for bringing many people into his bed with his boyfriend.

Another scary thought: Mason is still sexually active. While there's nothing wrong with that, he's having sex with other HIV + men, which if unprotected (and I hate to admit it, but something tells me that it is); he could be worsening his health and making his status worse.

i feel sorry for the guy, but only up to a point. if anything is to come of it I hope other actors are more careful from now on.

An AIDS test no more than 30 days old for all performers is required before shooting any porn within California. If you never shoot here, however, then that law doesn't apply. I wonder if other jurisdictions have similar laws.

Really feel for him. When will people realise that its just not worth the risk...?
Hope he manages to live a - relatively - norrmal life.

I'd only do that for guys that i've been with for a long time.

I can't say I'm surprised to hear that news about him though.
