KINGSMAN - THE GOLDEN CIRCLE in my opinion better than the first Kingsman-film. Sure sometimes too overdone but always with a wink. But for this gray and cold afternoon the best entertainment. We liked it. And perhaps it will follow a third part????

I'm pretty sure that many of you will note some similarities between this film and Little Miss Sunshine (2006), though this one carries quite a bit more heft.

Martin McDonagh's Three Billboards is a dark but also funny and heart-felt story about one woman's quest to get justice for her daughter's rape and murder.
One of the most talked about elements to this film are the strong performances; particularly by Frances McDormand. It's a beautiful, multilayered performance. As we know she won the Golden Globe for best actress in a drama. On Thursday night, she won the award for best actress at the Critics' Choice Awards. ''Frances couldn’t be here tonight'', said presenter Chris Hemsworth. ''She’s busy renting three billboards on Sunset Boulevard to win the Oscar.'' If she won't get the Oscar this year, I think that would be a BIG Hollywood scandal.
Three Billboards is easily one of the best and most enjoyable films of 2017, and it will make you laugh, cry, and think all in one sitting. I give Three Billboards an A+.

Frances McDormand is a fantastic actor & she caught my eyes when I watched her as chief of the local police Marge Gunderson in "Fargo" (1996).
You mention another of my big favs among American actors Viggo Mortensen in the next post - Viggo (well, he's half Danish I think) is not only a very good actor, he's such a super sexy bloke!

Want to watch a multiplex blockbuster - well don't watch this.
Did you (like me) love Tarsem Singh's The Fall and now you want to watch his at times disturbing, at times visually stunning movie with a jarring atmospheric soundtrack - the debut movie from the maverick director.....
