‘Rinse and Repeat’ is the latest game from artist and video game developer Randy Yang, who describes the new title as a “steamy first person showering game about giving a hunk a helping hand”. His previous work includes spanking game ‘Hurt Me Plenty’ and ‘Succulent’, in which players were required to simulate sucking an ice lolly. Quite the collection, then.
‘Rinse and Repeat’ sees players using a communal shower alongside a number of naked men with the aim of forming a closer bond with a hunk who needs a bit of a scrub down – and it’s avaiable to download to Mac and PC for free.
Admitting that the game is firmly in the ‘porn genre’ of video-gaming and has a particularly submissive theme, developer Yang told HuffPost: “I decided one form of submission could require players to conform to the game’s terms – the game tells you how to scrub him, and the game tells you when it will feel like playing.
“The game acts like it doesn’t really care about the player, which is maybe part of the fun of it. My game isn’t unique in this sense, lots of video games have domineering relationships with their players, but I think my game is one of the few that sexualizes this dynamic, especially in a gay way designed to poke at a predominantly straight dude gamer audience.”
As the ‘levels’ progress players will be able to scrub a variety of different areas on their virtual friend – but they’ll have to wait in real time for the next time he visits the shower, so make sure you’ve got your diary with you.
“Waiting is an act of submission, but that’s not really a bad thing,” Yang says. “Delayed gratification is an integral part of pacing that can enrich an experience; you can’t feel a drop without a build-up.”
Well it’s certainly not ‘The Sims’, is it?
