Trailer parks built to house workers at various defense contractors during WWII.
At the time trailers were not legally considered as housing and the manufactures were restricted on building supplies due to war time rationing. Typical bureaucracy, the government ordered thousands of these trailers but wouldn't let them obtain the materials necessary to build them properly. As a result they were poorly constructed using sub-standard materials. But to their credit, they got the job done with what little they had to work with.
