Germany sends Lana's song again. It will be sung by another young girl with silly stuff in her hair. Sorry, forgot the name.

It will be the same procedure as every year. The media will say that the song will be great and perfect till the bets will start and see Germany at the bottom of 22 participants and the rest is well known.

FINLAND: Sandhja - Sing It Away

sandhjalnh.jpg

It was a thrilling evening in Helsinki as Finland selected its 2016 Eurovision Song Contest entry in what seemed like a very open competition. Nine acts battled for the honour of representing the country, and after the votes of a jury and the TV viewers it was clear that Sandhja will represent Finland with the song Sing It Away. Sandhja is a young Finnish singer-songwriter with roots in India and Guyana. Her style is urban soul, her voice is powerful and her stage presence bursts with joy and positive attitude. Back in 2014 Sandhja released her debut album, which was loved by both critics and the audience.

HUNGARY: Freddie - Pioneer

freddicec.jpg

For the fifth year in a row, the A Dal festival has served to pick the Hungarian representatives for the Eurovision Song Contest. Tonight it was time for the final of the 2016 edition, with eight acts still in the running to grab the ticket to Stockholm. After two rounds of voting, the winning trophy was handed to Freddie. He will sing Pioneer in Stockholm. reddie, whose real name is Gábor Alfréd Fehérvári, became known as the "shower boy" in the Hungarian Rising Star when he admitted that he only had the shower head as his audience for a long time. The singer is a relatively new face in the Hungarian music scene but he already has many fans thanks to his uniquely smoky voice and his top hit Mary Joe.

Joe and Jake have won Eurovision: You Decide at the O2 Forum in London, and will represent the United Kingdom in Stockholm with the song You're Not Alone. Although there was an expert panel including Eurovision veterans Carrie Grant (UK 1983) and Katrina (winner for the UK in 1997) in Eurovision: You Decide the United Kingdom public made their choice with 100% televoting, and it was the duo Joe and Jake with the song You're Not Alone that received the most votes.

ICELAND: Greta Salóme - Hear Them Calling

gretasalom.jpg

It was a very exciting evening at the Laugardalsholl Arena in Reykjavik as Iceland selected its 2016 Eurovision Song Contest entry. Six acts fought for the honour of representing the island on its 30th year of participation. An honour which, ultimately, fell to Greta Salóme, for the second time. The winning song was then chosen by public televoting only which decided that Greta Salóme will represent Iceland for the second time, this time as a solo artist, with the song Hear Them Calling. Greta Salóme had already represented Iceland in the 2012 Eurovision Song Contrest together with Jónsi. The final of Söngvakeppnin 2016 marked the 30th anniversary of Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest after their debut in the competition in 1986, but also a show to select their participant for this year's edition in Stockholm.
