JD-Download files from HF,SM +more automatically & avoid waiting times

Introduction
Believe it or not, JDownloader is a program that will automatically download for you all the files on rapidshare, megaupload, hotfile, sharingmatrix, fileserve and much more! All you have to do is copy the links and the rest the program will do for you.
In addition it has a very smart option that will automatically change your ip address after a finished download so you won't even have to wait the time between downloads filehosts like sharingmatix & hotfile and forces us to.
I strongly recommand you explore this FULL tutorial as it will surely save you a lot of time and effort.

Procedure

1. The first thing to do is to download "jDownloader".

http://rapidshare.com/files/298764104/JDownloader_0.9.310.zip

This comes as as .zip so you need a program to extract the application itself. Download and install the winrar (If you don't have it already).

http://rapidshare.com/files/290635205/WinRAR_v3.90_Final_Incl_Keygen.rar

Now extract jdownloader using winrar (right-click on file -> Extract files) .

2. Create a shortcut on your desktop, as shown below in Image , so you can find the application easily in the future.

3. When you start it up, pick the language you want.

4. Next you will be asked if you want to integrate jDownloader with your browser. Just select “Cancel”.

5. You will now be asked if you want to install Click’n’Load. Just select “OK”.

6.Just click “YES“.

7.Just click „OK“

8. Sometimes there will be dialog boxes asking if you want to install updates, or saying that updates have been made . Just click “OK” for any of these dialog boxes which appear.

9. Next you will have to select the download directory. This is the directory where the files pointed to by the file sharing links will be saved, as jDownloader fetches them, and also where the contents of these archived files will be extracted to. So just select a directory on a drive with lots of free space, as shown in Image's.

10. Now go to Advaced tab in Download & Connections to check if use balanced IP-Check is checked.

11. The best part “Solutions to avoid this waittime”

11.1.Premiumaccount

To avoid any wait times and in order to speed up your downloads, I suggest you to buy a premiumaccount for your favourite hoster. Then use JDownloader to set up your premium account as shown in picture’s.

11.2. Reconnect

If you have a dynamic internet connections (most DSL connections), you can perform a reconnect to get a new IP. JDownloader can do a reconnect for you. With each router or modem, the reconnect process is different. So you have to config JD to work with our router. After getting a new ip by reconnecting, JD continues downloading.

What is a reconnect?

Most internet connections are “dynamic IP address connections” this means that you'll get a different IP each time you connect to the internet. “Reconnect” means that you internet connection gets disconnected and connected afterwards. If you have a dynamic IP address connection (most DSL connections) you will get a new IP.

What is a new IP address good for?

Many hoster use an IP-block to force you to wait a certain time after each download. By changing your IP address, you can bypass this limitation. Please note, that this might conflict with the hosters tocs.

How can I see if I have a dynamic Ip connection?

1. Check your ip here.
2. Reset your connection manually (router webinterface, reset your modem, …)
3. See if your ip has changed. if yes, you have a dynamic connection.

Do I have to configure anything?

Every ISP and every router works different. So the reconnect methods are different, too. The JD Team is working day and night to create an automated router detection. For more Infos about Router configuration see here

Setup reconect

Now you haw to create reconnection script.

Your browser should open now asking you for user name and password tryin to connect to your router

Now JDownloader can do a reconnect for you!

Downloading:

12. First click to make active monitoring clipboard and reconnect as shown in picture 1. Monitoring clipboard will automatically add all copied links from warez forums in to linkgrabber as shown in picture 2 and 3. Go to the web page containing the links you want to download, select them, then right-click and select “Copy” . Note down any password, as you may need it in a later step.

That’s all that is crucial to know about downloading with JDownloadr.

13. About that password’s. Some uploader’s put passwords in there .rar or .zip files. JDownloader can automatically, when it finishes download, unrar your files. All you have to do is to check if JD Unrar is checked as shown in picture.

14. Then you have to put passwords in Passwords & Logins as shown in picture.

15. Finally to make your life easier simply do as picture shows.

The program is suited to work both with pcs which are connected to a router and with pcs that are directly connected to the modem.

So is there any way for me to download without having to do stuff with the router? How do i set it up without connecting to my router. If this is possible?
If not how do I get my router model since my one isnt shown?
Thanks for your Help:)

If you have a router and you don't set the reconnection part right, it will just download automatically for you but without switching ips to avoid the waiting time between downloads.

In any case just go through the tutorial and skip the parts with the router if you don't have access to it.

Filesonic problem

Thanks to the tutorial here, setup went well and I've been downloading for a few days. One issue noted is with Filesonic free accounts. It can't download, plugin out of date is the error message. The fix is to sign up for a premium filesonic account and set that up in JDownloader. Searching around I see this issue has been around for well over a year with promises from JDownloader that it would be fixed.

Is there a fix other than subscribing to filesonic premium monthly?

modem reset

I went the router part, but it seems like you could do this with a modem and no router. The idea is JDownloader checks to see if the IP will change when reset so you get quicker downloads. Just like routers have website's for setup each modem does as well. You can get that from your Internet Provider if not known to access through your web browser, I see my DSL modem has its setup website shown on the bottom of the modem. Use the autodetect feature of JDownloader to see if it will pickup your modem. Anonym zu jdownloader.org/knowledge/wiki/reconnect/reconnect-recorder-video

This is a fairly new issue with JDownloader - and Sharingmatrix/FileSonic. Previously it worked just fine & did not requite "Captchas" (those blocks of text that are require you to enter the text to download from most free download sites)> I can only say that a similar issue existed for about 2 weeks with Hotfile and they fixed the issue with another update.

There is a lame workaround - In the Download section of JDownloader you can right click to a menu that gives you the option to "Open in Browser". You can click on that link & the File Link will open in your browser & you can download it as you would if you just went to the site. The advantage to JDownloader in this case would be you would not have to keep the site you copied your files from open. And all the links are in one place.

A similar workaround for the router issue if you have an external modem (a box that is separate from your computer) is to plug the power supply for your modem into a switchbox & when your download is done use the switch on the switchbox to power off then on your modem. Unless you Internet Service Provider (eg AOL) uses a static IP address, this will reset your modem's IP and you can overide the wait requirement most download services have to download files. You can also just unplug the the power supply from the modem - but I don't think that would be as good for the modem.

If you have an internal modem, you have the option to reboot your computer (rebooting your computer does not reboot your EXTERNAL modem). In either case, I would reccommend closing JDownloader & then reopening it after the reboot (wait approximately 2 minutes to restart JDownloader after you reboot your external modem).

Possibly more dicey --- but the website for your ISP may have the option to reboot your modem without using a power switch. I can't say whether this is true of all ISPs...

PS ... using the direct website method - you will have to unrar/unzip & or rejoin the files yourself using the appropriate software ...

I have been happy downloading with Jdownloader for quite sometime now. Until the past few days, I can not download any files via JD any more. The new links just sit there showing that the files are on line but it will not budge or do anything. So, I tried downloading the same file through the regular browser(Firefox) it downloads OK. This really puzzles me as I do not know what is happening. Have I missed something here? I update the JD everyday so I know everything is up to date...Could anyone offer me a hint or help me resolve this bad development I have encountered here? Hope someone can give me a simple explanation and advice how to solve this issue for me, Thanks guys.

Thanks for the tutorial. I installed Jdownloader and followed the instructions. I am a premium member to both filesonic and fileserve and I get the worst speeds. Maybe 35-40 kbps/sec. This is not acceptable. I increased the max.con to 8 and that did not help at all. What is going on? When I used hotfile, I nver had any of these problems. Why do filesonic fileserve throttle the speeds? I pay for these memberships. I am very frustrated. Please help.

My suggestion is that you contact Filesonic and tell them which file you are downloading, so they know what servers need fixing. Also tell them you have used JDownloader with the max connection settings and your ISP provider. Usually they reply with generic emails but once you get the small details out of the way, they will help you with your problem.

From what I hear, Filesonic will add more servers so I hope this will be fixed in the coming weeks.

Stoic- Thank you for all your help. I am getting about 400 kbps/sec which is a vast improvement from 30-40 so I appreciate it. What I did was kept reconnecting until I got an acceptable speed on jdownloader and it helps. Hopefully, filesonic fixes everything and we get zooming speeds. :)
