And "President Obama's Gay Rights Promises Debated On CNN":

Before getting elected Obama called himself a "fierce advocate" for gay rights. Now he is actively/legislatively attacking and undermining gay rights? It is a sad day when a gay man who is also a Republican has to come on CNN and make the point. Surely Democrats would be up in arms about this or are they conveniently IGNORING the hypocrisy of the Obama Administration? Also, where did all the Anti-war "liberals" disappear to? Like hello? Obama has actually expanded the "War on Terror". What has changed? The left is suddenly silent on a host of issues... and the silence is deafening.

Politics as usual in America. It's a machine and Obama is being sucked right into it. The Parties run policy and despite all Obama's eloquent speeches and valiant proposals, the bottom line is Party power. Hopefully we will see some strides made with civil liberties, gay rights, troop withdrawal, health care, mandatory sentencing and other compassionate issues but I'm not holding my breath....even less now that Ted Kennedy is gone. Ughhh.

Let's give him the benefit of doubt, he is of sound thought and knows equality and acceptance is the key. Unfortunately he has his work cut out for him to make any great changes happen over night, we, and he has the trillions of mindless trolls to deal with. At least we know his thoughts on the issue are sound..Give him time I say.

"Give him the befefit of the doubt" is what many gay voters already did when he showed up at the LGBT primary debate and said (surprise!) he doesn't support the full list of legislation that would bring about LGBT equality; that should have been the end of it there; no vague or pretty speech makes up for blatant disinterest.

I, personally, do not give a damn what he is said to "think" or "feel" or not; the only thing that matters is what his administration (and party) does which is, so far, to protect the status quo from economically disadvantaged angry African Americans, homosexuals, environmentalists, and those of us who want the middle eastern wars to end. "Obama" is a PR scam; there isn't anything behind the curtain except what you want to see, so look elsewhere.

First...
"gay man friends sperm"...they no longer need the sperm of men, they can now make sperm cells from stem cells..men are now obsolete..lol.

Second...
Being part of the Obama admin indirectly....and knowing many in the admin directly including family...I can say..I very unhappy with Obama on many issues.

He has taken the position that he is President of "all" the people of the US...not just "Liberals" and has to represent the entire country's viewpoint.

I got in trouble in a meeting a few weeks ok...when I suggested this was a "sell-out" position and brought up...what would have happened if civil rights were treated the same way...they would have never happened. I suggested he needed to lead the country to adopt the values we elected him for...stop being a representative...start being a leader.

I am now...viewed as a rebel rouser left wing liberal in the party...maybe they will expel me..lol. Anyone want to start a new political party with me....."The American NeoLiberal
Libertarian Party" . Our motto will be..."Do No Harm...and stop those who intend to harm".

Oh, I forgot, our republic if flawed...we only have a 2 party system...Sigh. Where is a Sith Lord when you need one...If you just elect me emperor...I can fix everything...I promise...

Its qutie late at night and im not quite sure of the accuracy of this post..but it is annoying. I voted for him, but even then i knew i was simply voting for the lesser of two evils. With all the fanfare, i doubted his ability to do much simply because the congress and the way laws are made is just way to complicated for anything to be done efficiently (just look at the ridiculously long health care bill). But for him to be well against it just makes matters all that much worse.

Giving someone the benefit of the doubt and not acting out rashly is too much for some people. They'd rather just start a witch hunt than think things out.

He's not against gays. Unfortunately he gives the loons on the right the time of the day to voice their bigoted views. Remember he campaigned on listening and then acting?

Well, after a year of listening to the crazies, it's time to bulldoze real change from now on.

A year in power and people expect Obama to move Heaven and Earth.

lol yea, it is true one can only do so much, but the image of him now seems to be against "gay" marraige. Which in all honesty should be granted. but i don't want to ramble any further. Ahh he does however need to take a firm position for "gay" rights and i do mean firm...at least then I can say he tried.
