The reference in turn-based strategy gaming is back
Set in a fantasy universe with RPG progression and strong story narrative, Might & Magic Heroes VII will embark you on an unforgettable journey.
The game will take place some 200 years after the events of Shades of Darkness, and ten years after the assassination of the Holy Empress Maeve Falcon (i.e. another 100 years before Heroes V). The story will follow Ivan Griffin, Duke of Griffin Duchy, in his pursuit of the crown after the dissolution of the Falcon Empire; but to do so he must band together with a force of allies. One of which the world had not seen the likes of before.
Gameplay will follow similar tactics found within the Heroes of Might and Magic series. Strategy is a key to the gameplay as battles are structured to a chess like board where each player controls a faction of units. The battle involves turn-based gameplay, in which each creature will have an opportunity to make a move. The battle is over when all the units of one side have been killed, or in a ceasefire scenario. During each player's turn on the adventure map, building or upgrading the main castle will allow for better expansion on the map, as well as for the recruiting of an army. Players move their "Heroes" about the map, collecting resources and artifacts that provide benefits in later gameplay. By expanding territory and capturing enemy towns, the player can build a larger army. The game is won when one player is left standing after all the rest have been defeated. The game will include a Campaign Mode similar to previous editions that will follow various storylines of the main characters. Multiplayer and Online player capabilities will allow the player to play against other human players.
HAVEN
The Knights and Priests of the Holy Empire worship Elrath, the Dragon God of Light, who grants them magical powers based on his elemental dominion. Their objective is to lead a life worthy of Elrath's ideals of Truth and Purity, to shape the world in his image, and to spread his sacred Light...
ACADEMY
Wizards are proud seekers of knowledge, and subjugators of the natural order. They prize knowledge and research above all, and their great weakness is their desire to seek for these things in places - and in ways - that might be best left unexplored. Intellectually competitive, sybaritic, and Machiavellian, others often find them arrogant and supercilious.
NECROPOLIS
Necromancers began as a splinter sect of the Wizards, and grew into a powerful nation. They worship the “Death” aspect of Asha. Their interpretation of the Goddess’s darkest aspect is fanatical, emphasizing death alone and exalting the state of unlife to which all Necromancers aspire.
STRONGHOLD
Tribes of nomadic barbarians, Orcs are the scattered but proud survivors of a long history of persecution. They boast ranks of fierce warriors supported by powerful Shamans. Orcs prefer open skies and the freedom to move on when the urge takes them: many chose to lead a nomadic life in the dunes of the Sahaar desert.
SYLVAN
The Elves are graceful and patient souls who live in close harmony with the lands and forests. They are in tune with Sylanna, the Dragon of Earth. Her deliberate nature and ancient wisdom are reflected in their approach to life and worship. They view the forests and living things as their responsibilities, and do not shrink from punishing those who defile them.
DUNGEON
The Dark Elves are underground-dwelling renegades from the Elf forests who have made a pact with the mysterious Faceless. Deadly schemers in the darkness, their whole nation is imprinted by Malassa’s mark. Forced to hear the constant whispers of the world, the Dark Elves know that the border between sanity and madness is very thin… thin like a dagger’s blade.
