I love breakfast then again who doesn't. Like today I am eating homemade buttermilk waffles. What are some of your guy's favorite breakfast foods? For anyone interested here is my waffle recipe I got from a chef but modified a little.
Buttermilk Waffles
4.75oz or about a cup all purpose flour
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 tbs sugar
4 tbs butter
1 large egg
8oz about 1 cup of buttermilk
Turn on your waffle iron. Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl. In another dish melt the butter and add the egg and whisk until combined whisk in buttermilk. When you are ready to begin making pancakes pour the liquid ingredients in to the dry and stir only until you see no streaks of flour left. There should still be lumps. Pour about half the batter into the waffle iron more or less depending on how big your waffle iron is. Cook until golden brown. Serve and enjoy.
Makes 2 large waffles. Just double or triple if your feeding a family.
