What country are you in?
In the UK the last 2 days I have download speed is drastically slower. Only getting 1.6MBs (Usually get the max for my line which is 8MBs).
Lets hope it is a glitch somewhere. Whether at RapidGator or the routing to your country is screwed or overloaded.
Or could be that RapidGator is upgrading...Oh that would be nice.

I have twice been caught out buying a premium account for a hosting service, only to find they went bust and I lost my money. (filesonic and oron)
I also tried filesmonster, and when they renewed my account they halved the download limits without telling me. When I complained, they said I better shut up or else they send a list of my downloads to my bank ... So I don't go near them anymore.
So I ended up with rapidgator... and every time it goes wrong I can't help thinking "oh no, not again...."
Rapidgator is quite slow, I get the same speed as you, so I assume they manage their traffic by limiting speeds. But at least they have provided a service, without taking the money and running.
I also have an uploaded account, which I rarely use, but the speed is the same, so it could also be that there is a general restriction.
On our forum certainly, rapidgator seems to be the most common hoster, so I hope it does not go the way of some of the older ones...
