But seriously, if anyone could remember my name when I joined the forum. There was a meaning behind it, it was owing to the fact I never settled at one location for too long. If I have considered all the forums I've been in, or even worked at, this is definitely the first forum I've actually managed to feel at home (yes, it sounds like a cheesy line, but it's the truth) My expiration date at this forum is long gone and am still here I blame xman101 or even Voyager for this. They've brain-washed me! :rofl: Oh and even Daedalus, especially him.. "Why don't you post more often" he said "you'd make more friends" he said! Now I can't leave this place cuz I love it too much

Ok! ok! But in truth! Where else would you find porn, mixed with social-networking without the prejudices and bitching that you find at other adult-based social websites. This is why am still here, because it's just like life itself. There is more to life than sex and my sexuality. Oh I do remember your username before this. I may haven't mentioned this but almost two years ago I was going through some difficult time, trying to accept the fact that I will never be healthy again, and I wrote here. You were one of the first ones to reply and support me :heart:

I think the replies and the support I got for my post made me return here over and over again and I even printed the replies so they could cheer me up.

When I first came here shortly after the forum opened in 2008, I was here for the porn . . . both posting and downloading.

But as I got to know some of the members here, it quickly became apparent that this forum stands out among others because of the social friendships that develop.

For those who only come here to grab porn, you are missing the best part of this forum.

I recently had a conversation with the forum owner at another forum and he said he had tried to develop the social interaction between his members because he said that Gay Heaven was his inspiration as the discussion areas here are so active. At his forum, there are almost no contributions to any discussion threads.

For those who take part in the discussions, and get to know members, I am sure you also appreciate the close friendships that become the reason for continuing to come back.

I am very fortunate that AlSun approached me several years ago about becoming a staff member. This led to friendships with Radix, Xman, slimjim, Shadow, Casanova (the giggler), bafm (one of my closest friends), Daedalus, BigBenni (a great friend), Whisper (a true inspiration), Irishman (my first MSN buddy), JonnyFastastico, mark_63, DBOL777, squiggle, wildchild and more recently Urban, HotDougBunz, gb2000ie, zortek, squallmuzza and BigSal . . . and if I keep on naming all the staff members and friends, this post will just be too long and because there are so many wonderful people here, I fear I will leave someone out!

We have the best staff of any forum, from involved admins and SMods, to talented Moderators. We hold monthly meetings where we all share ideas trying to improve the forum, and if the members here could understand the work that goes on behind the scenes, they would appreciate even more this very talented team.

I have had the good fortune to talk with many on MSN and skype and while I have not been as fortunate as XMan to have actually met, I still consider them such close friends.

Although the important things have been said already, I want to add something important.

The friend Voyager said in few simple words what is most good is there in this forum.

Even if they are on the forum recently, in addition to having true friends, which increase with time, I met smart people, cheerful, prepared and available, which helped me to overcome difficulties.

Although I've done that, I want to thank you again, even those who have not had the opportunity to know me. p

Becoming part of this family, has enriched my experience. :big hug:

Well I had to look back to see when I joined. September 25th 2010. WOW it feels longer than that. Thought I was here in the difficult times when I was made redundant

But hay, I have hung around, and for the reason that lots of people are saying. It is such a FRIENDLY place. Like someone else mentioned they usually don't hang around long at one single place they are still here... like me.

I have also made friends here, and have also introduced friends here that are now Mod's.

I was asked ages ago to be one, but declined as needed to concentrate on getting a new job which is difficult in this current economic climate. Bay hay managed to get a job after a year of hunting. And YAY two weeks ago got a NICE pay rise, so Im happy again. It was shocking how your mind deteriorates when all that shit of hunting for a job and get a job that pays considerable less than what you are used to. But here at GayHeaven it was a WELCOME distraction from reality and made me sane again while I was here

It is also nice to nee newbies post here at GH after they realise it is a GREAT place. Including the General Discussion thread, so it is not always about porn. Especially like it when people ask deep and personal advice like that "24 still a virgin and never been kissed" thread. Just not something you could discuss openly, but here at GH there is sort of that anonymity and they feel comfortable asking such questions, and the MANY replies and advice that follow, which I hope is useful to the originator of the thread.

YES I do post naughty movie clips here. And I will continue to post clips here as long as people continue to download them. Once I see the thanks clips drop off then I will know my time is up.
