Hello Jamie, sorry to hear that you lost your job.
I know many Italians are coming to and living in Belgium...my closest colleague is Italian, she has been living in Belgium for more than 40 years (yeah she's not my age, lol !
).
She always keeps informed about what happens in Italy and says it's not a safe country (as far as job and social security are concerned, for example).
A few decades ago, lots of Italian people moved to Belgium because we needed workers in coal mines...now the mines are closed and a good majority of Italians living in Belgium are children of miners...
I don't mind at all having Italians or people from any other ethny in Belgium, I think it's a good thing

I'll be unemployed starting 2010
And I'm already sitting at home because I got a Garden leave... I hope this is understanable ^^

Hey Mr! Woops Sorry I bumped the post again but I wanted to say something!! Sorry to hear you lost your job.. that has got to be the most stressful thing to happen, did you try finding a replacement just when he was speaking of shutting everything down? its too late now whatever happened has happened.. I am sorry for the stress and the loss! I do hope you find something out there! Best of Luck!
