I think it's important to respect anyone or anything although sometimes you don't get the reply like what you want. But, then again, if you respect someone or something with sincerity, I guess you won't need that someone gives like the way you did.

okay. but respect in one direction is submission to someone superior. the forum is not superior to me and I dont consider the forum my master, so I disagree. respect has to go both ways. besides, the forum is just a bunch of software on a computer somewhere, created by a bunch of guys. I get the feeling that if I met all those guys, I wouldnt respect all of them.

thanks etilit. I disagree with the way those words are used. understanding isnt needed to have respect. respect in general is earned by how one acts. required respect, or being respectful outwardly goes to the boss at work and people who have control or heavy influence over you, but a guy may not truly respect those people if they are jerks. and I dont need to understand my boss or what makes him tick to give him basic respect.

so I get what you are saying, maybe. for sure nothing in life is easy, but understanding other people wont help that. I get it with full understanding why some guys take the role of terrorists and so on. I hate the reasons, I hate the idea of war, I hate that terrorism hurts mostly the innocent, but understanding all of that has nothing to do with respecting them or their beliefs or their reasons for terrorism - which I totally do NOT respect.
