If you measure it to its participants and you take my age as a standard (66 in two weeks), I would say yes. But happily are men of my age a kind of exception. Yesterday I picked up my military passport (1966, obligatory military service) and when I looked at the photo it shocked me a bit. Apart from the protruding ears (accentuated by the short hair) I saw a really attractive young man. I should have realized that more than 40 years ago. So, young friends, learn this lesson from an antique member of this forum, do not be too critical of yourself.

Nope.
Lots of activity here every day, so not dead by any means!
What better solution is there to a forum? Forums are just modern versions of Bulletin Board systems which were around on the internet even before the worldwide web, so why would something that has been with us for decades suddenly, out of nowhere, become obsolete without any obvious successor?
