It's a replica... No porn star, not even one that was paid a huge sum of money to keep quite about an alleged affair with a married businessman and politician, could afford a real Shelby Cobra...

Besides, it's an automatic and all the real ones had a top-loader 4-speed. Also, the dash layout is all wrong. Carrol Shelby added several gauges to the original AC Ace dash resulting in a hap-hazard, random looking dash layout. And finally, the ignition key is in the steering column, cars of this vintage all had ignitions mounted in the dash, in the Cobra it's in the far lower left corner of the dash...

Truth be told, when it comes to cars of this caliber (Vintage Cobras, Porsche Speedsters, 60's Ferrari's, etc.) I'd much rather have the replica. The real thing is just too valuable to drive around in, and what's the point in owning it if you can't drive it? You can spend million dollars on a real Cobra, or $100,000 for a replica that is more reliable, comfortable, safer, and faster, that rides and handles even better, but looks just like the real thing. To me it's a no brainer...

Hey, I warned you guys that I was completely anal when it comes to cars. I can't help myself. And as I said before, I'm not trying to be an asshole, just trying to educate.

And yes, the DBS is real, unfortunately no one makes replicas of vintage Astons so us mere mortals without six or seven figures at our disposal are left to admire from afar.

Although they do make kits to turn late model Jaguar XK models into late model Aston Martins. But with the money you've spent on a Jaguar, the conversion kit, and labor, for a few grand more you could have a real Aston Martin...

Thanks anyway but I answered my own question ....

The LTD wagon was a beast! I had two of these in the 90's they both gmhad big blocks in them one of which was designed as a camper hauler manufactured for the RV industry to haul those babys to the dealership from the manufacturers. Built with a beefy suspension and a enormous power plant they would average ten miles to the gallon- I think the Grizwalds family trickster was manufactured by Kingswood and was a monster in its own right. With the gas crisis of the 70's im surprised they built such cars while they did also " dumb " down the motors with a two barrel crab which did save significant amounts of fuel
