Pat Robertson has said the backlash to Indiana's 'religious freedom' law signaled a renewed assault on 'deeply held Christian beliefs.'
On the Thursday (2 April) broadcast of his talk show, The 700 Club, the US televangelist dismissed the concerns of the pizzeria that closed after refusing to cater gay wedding.
'You might as well keep your mouths shut,' he said
'I'm not sure I would serve pizzas at a gay wedding. Most gays if they're having a wedding don't want pizzas, they want cake. It's the cake makers that are having the problem.'
Robertson said if Christian bakeries were forced to make cakes for gay wedding, then before long they'd be forced to like anal sex and bestiality as well.
'It doesn’t matter what custom you’ve got, it doesn’t matter what holy thing that you worship and adore, the gays are going to get it,' he said.
'They’re going to make you conform to them. You are going to say you like anal sex, you like oral sex, you like bestiality, you like anything you can think of, whatever it is.
'And sooner or later you are going to have to conform your religious beliefs the group of some aberrant thing. It won’t stop at homosexuality.'
Robertson said that polygamy and 'sex with animals' were next on the homosexual agenda.
'They’re going to be saying, "You’re intolerant, you’re intolerant, you’re trying to mitigate against these nice people who like dogs, what’s wrong with you?"' he said.
