0nlyf@ns downloading issue - any suggestions?

Hey guys, I've been having a problem of late downloading 0nlyf@ns files. I use Video Download Helper on my browser (Firefox). But of late I'm seeing a bunch of videos posted that instead of having the 3 versions available (240, 720, and original), they come up with "Auto" as well. Whenever that happens, Video Download Helper doesn't work and won't download files. It makes me think 0F has done something to make it more difficult for downloading.

I'm sure there's a fix, and I'm sure someone on here knows how to get around this. I'd be grateful for suggestions how to solve this problem.

Alas, 0nlyF@ns commenced their optional DRM (digital rights management) encryption, which content creators could opt-in. So videos uploaded after the end of May 2023 would be in this newer format, which "scrambles" the video. Anything that's d0wnloaded ends up in a grey or green screen with no viewable content.

It can be undone, but unfortunately special software is needed, or knowledge of scripting, how to capture encryption keys etc. I use StreamFab which has successfully undoes the what has been implemented so far; they've been quite good in catching up to any adjustments that 0F have put in so far.

I took your suggestion naughty_gam but could not get Stre@mfa+ to work on the DRM videos. It was fine with the older ones, but it didn't even register the new format videos. Am I doing something wrong or is it still something that SF has not worked out yet?

Sadly, St3amfab has stopped capturing the latest encoded videos. I've flagged it with them, but the last 3-4 weekly releases still hasn't resolved the problem. Fingers crossed.

Can you let us know if/when that changes and Str@mfa* updates itself? I won't buy it until I know it works. I did a test yesterday and it failed.

Hi there, Stre@mfab's latest update is working, and picking up the streams but only in 720p resolution. I'm not sure it's a problem with the software necessarily, the way the full / original works is streaming in segments and sometimes doesn't play properly even in a standard browser.
