Not much info to go on there...
1. Whats your budget?
2.Do you mean brand new, or new to you?
3. What country are you in?
4. City or highway driving?
Not knowing the answers to these questions, I did manage to come up with one vehicle that is suitable for any situation.
Inexpensive.
Small, but not tiny.
4wd is available.
Has been in production for years, so good used examples are plentiful.
Sold in almost every world market.
Solid reputation for quality.
Decent fuel economy.
The Honda Element...
As for those special features...
All the seats, front and rear, fold flat to make a bed...
The interior is waterproof and can be cleaned with a hose...

Back in my day this was the vehicle of choice:
So much more efficient! (For sex, that is, not gas.)
Nostalgia aside, I am a big fan of the Element. My 79 year old mother has one so she can easily haul groceries and gardening supplies. And my sister uses one to take her dogs to dog shows all over the country. They have both had several generations of Elements and wouldn't want to drive anything else.
However, Honda has discontinued the Element. So there are no new Elements to be had, and the good used cars are going to be more expensive than you might imagine (since they are now a scarce quantity).

depends on what you need and what type of cars you like. are you a sedan guy, MPV guy, SUV, 4x4, hatch back??
if it were up to me i'd get an Audi A4 or a BMW 3-series.

My first car was a 70's style customized van. Complete with a bed, bar, fridge, TV, and shag carpet everywhere... Other parents hated me...:devil:
As for the Element, 2011 models are still available new...
