The truth is, it was David Hume who first said those words, in 1790.

Who's trying to fool whom? David Hume had been utterly-nutterly dead for 14 years in 1790...but Immanuel Kant was still around and these famous words is the English translation of Kant's speech in 1790. Maybe. Or not.
