Gay-board dot org down

Hey everybody,

does someone of you know what happened to gay-board dot org? The site is down for a couple of weeks now and I wonder what happened to it. The administrator was called Conexant. Were there any news about what happened to them? This was one of my favourite gay porn sites and it's sad to see it down.

I don't have any information on this, but I suspect the site is now gone for good. It seems like the server connection has been turned off. Let's hope it will return, but I suspect the odds of that happening are poor.

I say good riddance. Their search function was an absolute mess, and I can't even count all the times I got error messages on that site.

Whatever issues their search function had, at least one could find videos from every company, as compared to some sites where certain companies videos are not allowed to be posted.

So many sites have died over the years. Sometimes you get clues that the reaper is closing in, sometimes not. Armageddon's place, the gay lounge, recently went 404 without any warning, that was a shock because that site has been around since Adam and Eve. Whatever your favourite site, enjoy it while you can, nothing, good or bad, lasts forever.

I'm actually very sad that gay-board is down. The search function was indeed bad but I especially liked the links to allprogram at the top. I found some old treasures there by chance. But unfortunately, I think there's no way to search on allprogram. And the board had a forum where all the new scenes were uploaded, allowing quick access if you just wanted to browse. This is much more complicated here with all the mega-threads.

I'd been wanting to ask if anyone here knew what was going on with "GB-O" but could not for the life of me figure out a way to phrase the topic that would pass the strict parsing rules here at GH (even the moderator I asked for help on this back in mid-April was stumped how to proceed, so I gave up).

Anyway, sad to see it go if indeed it is gone for good. GB-O had been around forever, and while the search function rarely worked at least it was the easiest site of all to browse for new releases at a glance. And as blizzard noted above, GB-O was one of the few sites that allowed postings from every conceivable source (also, they seemed to frown on the infuriating practice of premium-only posts/threads).

Here's hoping for a miraculous return. They sometimes happen: the quirky but very useful BA-K goes down for four or five weeks with no explanation a couple times a year, then pops right up again (albeit sometimes with a modified new address that makes finding it a nightmare). Perhaps GB-O will also return in some form.

It comes and goes periodically. Three or four times a year they go dark for planned maintenance, on those occasions the site is up but shows an alert page for a few days until suddenly returning to normal. Unfortunately they also seem to evaporate off the face of the earth at approx 18 month intervals: on those occasions they are just totally down with no trace they ever existed. This spring they were gone for over a month, to the point I thought they really did go under.

But I kept checking my bookmarks every week, and sure enough they returned a couple weeks ago. That was a relief, because usually when they vanish they return under a modified address that takes forever to track down (hampered by the fact there are several other more mainstream sites using the exact same naming options). At the moment they are easily found by a simple web search for mecansoelganso.

I think GB was hosted in Russia, they disappeared when all the sanctions against Russia went into effect. Hopefully Ukraine will finally push Russia out and end putin's ridiculous ego-war, and things will go back to "normal."
