Have you ever been to a nude beach before and if so what was your experience like? Was it a gay, straight or mixed sexuality location? Any tips and pointers for someone new to it?

I used to go t nearby San Onofre, right next to Camp Pendleton. Ran in to a lot of marines. I didn’t complain. It was mixed, but the farther you walked down the beach (on to Camp Pendleton property) the gayer it got.

Yes, several. Really just like any beach but a lot to look at. Some, like the gay one in San Francisco, have cruising and some sexual adventures.

Most recently was Haulover Beach in Florida. It goes from having clothes/bathing suits >> straight nude >> mixed >> mostly gay. All sections are very popular and busy on most days. No sex spots that I am aware of.

Many years ago there was a nude beach on Martha's Vineyard.
It had a hippie vibe rather than a gay vibe.

I've been to two, Pea Island in the Cape Hatteras National Seashore and Secret Beach on Kauai. Both had totally different crowds.

Just to Sandy Hook in New Jersey so far. Pretty much a mixed gender crowd there.

I've been to both Gunnison (Sandy Hook) in New Jersey and Haulover in Miami. Very different crowds.

I live in NYC so I've been to Gunnison more often (a few weekdays and twice on the weekends). It's more relaxed, mixed gender. Nice eye candy depending on when you go.

I've also been to Haulover twice during Miami Pride weekends (2024 and 2025). Younger, more male. Hotter. I would go there more often if I lived in the area.
