how big is your bed?

We have a king size. I had a very nice full mattress and box spring, but it was too small for my tall boyfriend. So when we moved in together, I bought a new king bed and sheets for us. It took a while for me to get used to sleeping in such a big bed. I'm used to hooking my feet on the bottom of the mattress when I sleep face down. Now I can't, but I got used to it. We sleep cuddled most of the time, so there's no need for that wide of a bed, but it does have to be long for him.

Length seems to be a common problem with beds today. The coil spring mattress was first introduced around 1865, and since then all beds, with the exception of twinXL and California king, have been the same length since then, but humans have evolved and are taller on average today than they were then...
