Ouch, as if deciding wasn't tricky enough there was pressure from parents too!

That's what I have meant - family and job! But let us see! It is not so that I dont trust my brother - never ever - but I've had the intention to hold family and job apart. But let us be positive - perhaps in some weeks I can say it was a good decision.

Thanks GB - I hope it as well. My employee today told me when we were going home, that he was very interested and questioned a lot.

We do not interfere in your decisions Shelter (after all, you are the boss (lol)) it is also my conviction family and job segregation ( do you not speak anywhere of family pressure?)
I work in a large company with approximately 28,000 employees and over 200 branches but family should never cooperate with us in one and the same branch.
If you enter into a relationship with a colleague you will be separated.
You have your brother given a fair chance and intentions of your heart followed okay see what it brings.

Let me tell you that just in the moment up to this date he is working diligent and quiet and most of all he is indeed on the tick in the morning (that has been something I thought he is not capable of) and he is too to be ready to work overtime.

But as well he told me it seems not to be that what he wanted to do. So I think after a short while he will go again if he will find another job in his profession.

That works out then, he can find something more to his liking and you can not worry about if you did the right thing about putting family in your business. I think it is good you gave him a chance and am happy that it is working out.
