It's going to be a nightmare when people make him realize how abnormal he is, that pretty much every other boys have one and he doesn't... here start the long and suffering promenade to exclusion land... otherwise if he was born without it he can't miss what he never had

Really a penis makes the man? From what I know the penis is the external part that define you as a man... inside you still have a prostate - no Fallopian tube there

Most news I heard is about a boy born with vagina or a girl born with penis. And in their puberty they must decide which organ to get rid of.

There's a story about a boy who's penis was completely burnt during circision. They tried to raise him as a girl but it did not work, and later he lived as a man. But he committed suicide in the end. A very sad story, I hope this poor chap has a better life.

Interesting the thought that so many people assume that a penis makes a man... I think the rate for intersexed babies is something like 1 in every 10,000 births, but Doctors are often the ones who decide the gender assignment of the child with ambiguous genetalia. Children born intersexed are most likely to be labeled female, and go through life often with hormones and sadly most of those children (and quite often their parents) are not informed of the decision. Anyhow, back to men -when a man growing up as a male his whole life loses his penis does he suddenly become a woman? -Does it depend on how he "lost" his penis? Does it matter what the person whose body it is labels himself?

More than anything I think it should be realized that "man" is a social construct, while male is supposed to be sex -which is defined by chromosomes and often by phenotype.

Yes "man" is an entirely arbitrary social construct. People have the right to state their gender identity as 'man' even if they have a vagina and breasts. Trans people are not 'less' then anyone else, and no one gets to decide such rules to exclude others.

I think as long as he's ok with himself, there's no news here. Man or not, I hope he's happy with his constructed penis. I wonder if it has as many nerve endings as the average dick?
