I've just been listening to a report on the BBC about the "arctic storm/ bomb cyclone" that's hit north america with heavy snowfalls and temperatures being forecast as low as -70F (-57C)
and major cancellations to rail and plane travel.
So to all our members over there a heartfelt STAY WARM, STAY SAFE this christmas.... and here's hoping you get to spend it at home and not in an airport departure lounge.

I live up in the Deep South where it is currently +11°f / -11°c but wind chill is much colder. I’m sitting here fully clothed in several layers topped off with my warmest velour robe sipping hot tea watching the quiet outdoors wondering how Mother Nature is keeping all her furry and feathered little ones from freezing to death and stiff as a board this Christmas Eve Eve. They aren’t used to this arctic weather either. They’re southerners too. It’s only for a few days maybe a week or two but it’s so cold it’ll feel like forever. Time for a top up! Brrrrr
