I always wondered how do actors not get turned on when doing sex scene and are there really naked or are their privates covered

Let me answer this in two parts...
Part 1, getting turned on...
The answer is usually no. A movie set is a very stressful environment and filming sex scenes is awkward and uncomfortable...
As for part 2, nudity...
I'll let a professional costumer answer this one...

I have to say that I've heard the question in regard to being aroused by performing sex scenes asked before and although the response given by brmstn69 is accurate...however...there are some actors who have gotten aroused and the production had to be halted. I recall Jim Brown saying that he got very aroused when performing a sex scene with Raquel Welch back in the day and she said told the same story as well. One actor in particular who had mentioned that he got aroused while filming a Sci-Fi movie was actor Victor Webster. In fact..there was even a video clip of this happening on YouTube awhile back. Other actors that have mentioned that they got aroused while filming sex scenes that I know of were; Jesse Metcalf while filming a scene with Eva Longoria, Hugh Grant had mentioned that he had been aroused several times while filming as well. So yes...I tend to believe that there are times when actors get aroused despite of the condition or environment of whose at the studio.
