About typewriters: It was in the early 1980s and I would soon be off to my first longer period as a university student, so I had managed to buy - a brand new electric typewriter!!! I did write a lot of papers with it but jeeezuz allmighty this machine made such loud noise when working and it almost jerked the entire table on which it was standing because of the very strong line feeding recoil.

I didn't really get it that the age of PC:s had already begun.

People also get accustomed to the pounding strength requirement of old fashioned manual typewriters that they carry it over to keyboards for computers. I was at a “LAN” internet parlour in Rio not so long ago that I was astonished to witness this young lady pounding at the keyboard so vigorously I had to point her out to the owner.

Had I known that I was going to be proficient on the QWERTY keyboard, I would have learned the musical keyboard too at the same time instead of the more demanding of talent and sensitivity guitar finger board.
