Strange login problems

Same problem here,yesterday evening my time. Tried logging in or thought I was still logged in and all of sudden I was kicked off and could'nt. Kept getting "failed login"messages. I did register for a new account and I'm logged in with it. Admins:I'm sorry for all the irritated emails and the cursing ;( Hopefully no serious harm has happened to the site. I'm using Win 7 Home Premium,using the latest Firefox.

Some minutes ago I finally managed to login, and I must tell you that I was over optimistic when I posted this thread Monday evening (my time). I had to log off since I had other things to do, and when I tried to login again a few hours later, I got just as shut out as before...

I'm very glad that my post has been of some use to y'all, and lets hope - fingers triple crossed - that the forum will start working as it should tomorrow, but I won't take this for granted.

I got the " bad gateway" message for a while tonight before getting a login page and then it was not straightforward getting logged-in ~X(

Same troubles here. This is truly sad because even from the last occurrence of troubles that lasted so long, we have people losing interest in the forum. Myself included in that as these problems just work against enjoying the fun GH used to be.

Perhaps it is time for the powers that be to consider another hosting platform than vbulletin:thinking: That would take much work and the loss of members could be huge but what keeps happening is a slow death anyway.

Now I'm Getting this message a lot : The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later... (sometimes get it even when I'm logged in but trying to navigate somewhere else)......

Wow,I had that problem a couple weeks ago. If it is still happening then things are still not back to normal although I have had very little troubles.

When one can actually get past the "server is busy" panel and into this forum, it still takes an age to upload, several minutes in fact. Any reason?

It amazes me that some people leave comments here that say things like it's not that bad, or it loads faster for them now... I am experiencing a variety of problems while trying to access this site, logging in, viewing threads, posting, and with sending and receiving personal messages..I;m glad everyone else isn't..

Exactly the same for me. When I logged in right after midnight everything was sooooooo sloooooowww, and I had thought to do some posting, but that was practically impossible.

Same thing again when doing my latest login about an hour ago: Sooooooooo sloooooooowwwww, but I tried posting anyway.

And when I hit the Submit Reply-button about 30 minutes ago - everything was back to normal

So it seems you never really know what's going to happen :thinking:

I are now resigned to these constant changes of route of the forum. As they told Peter and Gorki, there are moments that I surf with the wind in downwind, then suddenly ... fog.
