I enjoyed the first real autumn day today. Just liked the atmosphere outside and the colourful foliage. Then I had a wonderful evening with a friend.

Enjoyed the sunday by
making a long walk with my dog by fine autum sunshine after two days of heavy rain, taking some fotos,
going to the gym,
visiting a friend who is mushroom expert, asking him about some mushrooms I found in the garden,
wanking lol,

Today was just work. But yesterday was fun. My best friend turned 60. He works at a local hotel and every month a jazz singer (an older black lady) drives up from Manhatten to do a Sunday brunch gig. So we made that the birthday. Patricia Adams sang John a special happy birthday. We drank strawberry mimosas, ate brunch, and had a grand time. We were the last to leave, but it wasn't our fault. The last guest came with a cake. You gotta have cake, right?

Got myself a haircut then i went to the shopping mall to buy myself a copy of Microsoft's new operating System Windows 8 pro for only $69 which I will install later today and after that bought some KFC for Lunch and when i got home had a nice warm shower and now I'm just relaxing.

Oh I hope it is not a waste of money for you. I have played with Windows 8 and it was driving me mad!!!! Where is the Quick X top right, where is the start button, and so on. How do you shut down... OMG what a long winded way. Log off, then shut down!

There is a place that has made a "add in" which puts the classic featured back in. ARRRRR, sort of back to normal.

But like Android, they dont want you to quit applications, so always running. Windows 8 is the same, so it is always running in memory.

Let us know what you think of Windows 8. Maybe start a seperate thread and we can all participate on our feeling of MS's latest and greatest. But I personally feel it is MS's BIGGEST mistake to date!

My external hard drive is making funny (not funny) noises. So I'm copying my files onto a new one. Maybe I'll get them all before it dies.

I'm also doing some fall cleanup outside. And a big storm will be coming up the coast, so it's an excuse to get off my lazy ass. They're calling it the Frankenstorm.

And tonight it's Halloween at the gay bar!
