Italy, Spain or Southern France can't be better. But these temperatures in the City .... hmmmmm!

Unusual weather

Saturday 07/18, 7PM: 68F, 20C, Rainy in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Very unusual for July in Southern California. Normally July is hot and very dry.

The rain is very welcome since all of California has been experiencing a severe drought for the past few years. Some lakes in the state are down to as low as 10% of their normal capacity. Scientists are saying there is a strong possibility of a wet winter rainy season this year and early next year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

There are water usage restrictions in place right now. You are only allowed to water your lawn twice a week. A new law is being proposed that would limit grassy lawns to no more than 25% of the gardens surrounding houses in So. Cal. The rest of your lot has to be hard-scape or drought tolerant plants.
