What's the last or current Movie you Watched ?

Just watched this on DVD and found it very disappointing...

From those involved...Martin Scorcese, Leo De Caprio, Ben Kinsley and the excellent (but sadly under-used) Max von Sydow I was expecting a top-notch movie.

But it's a mess... the soundtrack is invasive and annoying:no:... the tension builds up but the "shock" moments just fall flat:yawn:... and by the time I was supposed to consider whether it's real or is it all the hallucinations of a madman I had no empathy for any of the characters and couldn't give a damn, I was just glad of the fast-forward.

That's 2 hours of my life I won't get back

Rabbit Hole. A very good film. But, I suppose it's not mainstream because it's very serious. Nicole Kidman needs to get an award for this one.

Suito Homu aka Sweet Home, a Japanese horror B-movie that inspired the first Resident Evil GAME (not movie, those things suck something fierce) as well as its own game on the... SNES, I think, which I played and that's hard to get used to. The MOVIE though is worth seeing, but I don't know if I'd watch it again. If someone asked me to, I'd say yes, but...

Last film I saw was The King's Speech - excellent movie - if it doesn't win Best Picture at the Oscars I'll be surprised. Do yourself a favour and go and see it

oh my... teh TV show is MUCH better.
They cut so much and then the specific humour is gone... this movie is a parody of the show.

And I think you will have to watch the show to see how the story ends because I don't think that they will make the two other movies.
The first one was too bad.

The Mechanic...

It was alright, but the remake is much more of an action flick than the drama of the 1972 original...

They went for over the top action and big explosions, but in the process, they missed all the subtle elegance of the original.

Not to mention that the made Bishop a heroic hit man that only kills other criminals...

All in all, it was a good bit of fun, but hardly a cinematic masterpiece...

If you haven's seen the original, then I would recommend that you watch this one first and then the 1972 version...
