Actually it's hot. When a guy is wearing shorts and sits down, you can see his thighs. You don't see the dick or ass but it is sometimes much hotter and more exciting when some things stay covered because you can imagine what they look like

Yeah, packed Biker shorts are always nice. I also agree with another poster on the basketball shorts of days-gone-by, not reaching the knees, an occasional peek of a jock up a leg.

I agree with the sentiment behind this. The thing is, I posted a pic of myself in shorts in this thread (only one, I believe), because everyone else was posting pics here. In future however I'll post such pics in my gallery and post a link here.

xman, does this also apply to "Sticky" threads such as "Show us your dick", "Show us your arse" etc.?

When it's just a few pictures posts between posts with comments it's fine and you can post a picture of yourself in this thread but it took a little the overhand lately so xman did comment on that.
(But there have been posted some cuties in there shorts I didn't like to miss. )

Well, even I'm not xman I can tell you that in the threads you mentioned you obviously can post pictures of yourself right away and don't need to link to your gallery/album but when you post a picture there you of course can link to your album if you like to.

We're not over strict, but this thread was becoming just posts without any comment. I mentioned this in another thread that went the same way, example pics are no problem but we have several above that are simply picture posts one after the other.

It also adds to our work here if we have to check pics in the (generally) non-pic areas.

Don't worry, posts are not going to be removed for a few pics, but not so many please in discussion threads , that's all.

Obviously the threads you mentioned are supposed to contain photos so you're splitting hairs
