Austin Allegro (1974) and Citroen GS (1970) are the two only downmarket cars in the world travelling on air cushion (hydragaz or hydropneumatic system).
Advantage of the english car : an outstanding "quartic" wheel !
Today flexible suspensions are no more fashion, hard suspensions for hard times, I presume :thinking:

Since my cars are all 30-40 years old, when my mother had her heart surgery in Indy I rented a car to go up there. A new Ford Focus, it was awful, even worse than my Mustang was. I couldn't help but wonder if the "standard" car rode this rough, what are the "sport" and "performance" models with the even stiffer suspensions like. I've been spoiled by my '78 Lincoln Town Car. God I miss it, like riding on a cloud...
