Actually, I do..did it on a dare from a friend..got a standing ovation..was offered so very influential gigs...however, never took it seriously..just did it for fun..and to get laid..lol..

I sing in the Bass section of a Male Voice Choir - though I am about to leave them and join a General Choir so I can sing more varied stuff. I love singing.

Sure I sing, but people ask me not to. A friend once told me I should sing tenor... ten or twelve miles away. I can carry a tune... if it's written down and I tuck it under my arm.

That's off the top of my head. In reality I mostly just sing in the car and try to picture what other drivers are seeing while I bop and howl along to the music. I hope it brightens up their day, if only by making them feel comparatively sane.

It's a pity so many of us (me included) feel so inhibited about music.

Only when I am alone. I love classical music. So I make duets with Maria Callas, Aafje Heynis and Caruso. Happily they don't hear it. Sometimes my youngest son does. He says it sounds like fire alarm.

I've sung in a Gospel choir for a couple of years, but recently I joined a church choir to sing classical repertoire. I'm doing ok in a choir but I don't have a soloist voice.

Besides, I love to sing on the motorway, along the the songs on the radio (marcusl1: "Take on me" kills me each time - switching to falsetto at the right time). I really like to sing karaoke with friends, especially oldies & evergreens.

I've actually been told I sing very well when I put my heart into it. Once upon a time, I used to sing ALL of the time. LOL I remember I was at a party once and they had a habit of having little karaoke moments... and I was asked to sing "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera...

There was this guy there; a total biker guy (I've known him for years)... totally not his type of music or anything close to it. After I had finished, he looked at me and said, "Damn, Jonathan..." and started wiping his face. I thought I was horrible and possibly had spit on him )... but it turns out he was crying. He really thought I was that good... kind of shocked me in a good way.

One day, I'll post something here and let you all listen possibly... even though my singing is usually kept very private.

I'm a trained singer. I don't get the opportunity to perform much these days, but when my life settles down a little (IF it does...) I'll try to get back into it.

It's annoying to not be able to practice much because of the neighbors. I need to build a soundproof room...
