So, this is my 1000th post :) I wish myself happy more posts from now on :)

Daddy, he said, his eyes full of tears,
Will you talk to me and quiet my fears?
Those bad boys in school are spreading a lie
About the impossibility of reindeer that fly.

There`s no Santa Clause they say , with a grin,
There`s not one now and never has been.
How can a man carry all those toys
To thousands of little girls and boys?

But I told them Daddy, that they were not right,
that I would come home and find out tonight.
Mama said wait until you come home.
Please tell me now that I was not wrong.

Nah, it`s not early:) I prefer an early Xmas that the actual period... I ...become so sad near Xmas holidays that I wish I can jump forward straight to January.
 
Well sadly they've been selling christmas trees, cards, and decorations in the shops here for nearly 2 weeks already!!!

And yeah, even here...it started about 2 weeks ago too. Selling Xmas trees, the artificial ones, and globes and everything...Well, here Xmas is just...a commercial period...stores sell and people buy. And that`s pretty much it. No Xmas Carols around here...no ...Christmas in the air. It feels like a normal Sunday but only with empty stores. I remember the holidays back home...oh, Christmas Carols and Christmas sweets and snow all over and everything...God I miss those times! :(

Man, you are really early with Xmas. ;)

For me christmas time starts at 1.12.xxxx and not one day before that.
I also saw the first plastic christam trees for sale 2 weeks ago and since the end of September/beginning of October they sell stollen and all the other candies & cookies you usually buy for christmas. Much too early imho.

Here in Germany they started with the christmas cookies end of August/start of September.

It's getting earlier every year, that's why I'm unhappy with a christmas poem at the beginning of November *sob*

@Jamie: From which part of Romania are you?

I'm looking forward to the real christmas time too, I love it. And this year I will have a lot of time celebrating it because I won't have to go to work... sorry... I hope I will find something new for January.

I`m from the East Side of Romania :) I won`t go to work either this Xmas. We, all those who don`t work on Xmas should meet :) A GH forum meeting :)
 
then I have 2 questions... where will we meet and who will pay for the voyage :(
 
Two very good questions ...as to the first one somewhere central to all three of us, so somewhere in cental europe... as to the second one I think someone should celebrate their 1000 posts by buying the tickets.

I'm not big on Christmas or New Year either. Would guite happily go somewhere to ignore :p It'd have to be for at least 6 weeks though as the run up now starts in October lol
 
Lol you guys!:) At my first wage at the new job which I don`t yet have I`ll pay for the tickets:) We can all meet in Germany @ Rascal cat`s place. He`ll give us a place to stay in...:) Plus, the city he`s in...must be a small quiet beautiful place. :) But you have to pay your own drinks :p hehe!

Now, without joking that would be a great idea. Just to meet...and I don`t know..meet and take pictures, etc. Like what friends do. :) No..no sexual involvings unless someone wants to LOL
 
I was enjoying that.. It was sounding like a perfect plan ....right up to the bit about buying my own drinks. lol

@ SlimJIm LOL! If I win the lottery (which will be like...never :( ) LOL! I WILL pay for everyone`s drinks. Until then, you should be grateful for the plane / train / bus ticket:)

awww....:( Well, we can still have something in the hay stack LOL! :) How do you call that? where the hay and all the tools stay in...the tool house LOL! We can stay there if it`s warm enough:)
 
we have a rented flat... you could stay in the basement boiler room, it's warm there... warm and a bit wet :devil:
 
Well it might get hot and steamy before the night was over... lol


Jamie..the line about the drinks was to get a laugh .. and it got one !
