gays = messies?

Hi there,

when i look at all the gay exhibitionists who post their pictures, i often see a big mess in the background. i am a littel messie too so i wonder if this is a sign of beeing gay? what do you think? are you a messie too?

While I am a fairly messy person, Mr. Ex was not. He kept a Dust Buster in his truck, and first thing in the morning, he'd sweep around and clean his cat's litter box. Though I believe that men in general are messier than women. Not that there aren't female slobs or anything.

I quite like a mess, and anyway, what does it matter ? It's your place, you do what's comfortable !

I know gay people who are obsessively clean, and I know gay people who are unbelieveably messy - and then there's people like me, who are just average in terms of their messy/tidy balance.

I think you'll find a LOT of VERY messy straight guys too. I definitely don't think there's a correlation between sexuality and tidiness, but there may well be one between gender and tidiness.

Typically my area is kind of chaotic, but it's chaotic enough where I know where things are.

To be messy or not

I myself find that to be messy is a way of life. If someone is coming ove then no I spend a week cleaning up. :blushing:

I can honestly say that I'm definitely not a messie..I am a very clean person and my home is represented by my need for cleanliness and having things in order. I've had four bfs in my life and all of them were like that and therefore, my level of cleanliness increased because of being in their company.

i have so much junk that it's hard to keep stuff tidy, but every so often i have a huge clean up so everything is spotless.

That usually lasts for a day though

My mum says I am not a "typical gay" as I am quite messy. According to her "Gays" are supposed to be very clean and have a good dress sense (also something I do not always have).

I'm somewhat mixed. My bedroom is a dump; there's just no other word to describe it. I don't normally entertain people in there so I just go for comfy and having everything out where I can find it.

My office, car, everything else, I'm obsessive compulsive with and keep cleaner than a hospital.

I love to be organized but bf does not. We compromise by me not getting worked up about it during the week, but dedicate a small amount of cleanup time once a week that I know I can look forward to.

I prefer chaos over order, I mean when it is organized to a certain degree. I don’t like to have to search for things (for instance when I work on a car or a motorcycle I want to know where the spanners are). I have some friends who were more successful in life than I, so they own big houses and even have servants. I'm not jealous. Their houses are incredible clean; everything matches; it is like living in a museum. In my house it is a hodgepodge of styles and mainly old stuff. I like it that way. You can feel the life in it. Once a week (on Saturday) I give it a big cleaning. It cost me some hours. My dog is much quicker in reinstalling the original chaos. I am the sweetheart thankful for that.
