I just got raided by a S.W.A.T. team...

12:32 Am, I'm sitting at my computer surfing porn, when I hear foot steps on the stairs leading to my room. I jump up, fling open my bedroom door and find 4 shotguns pointed at my face! I look past the 4 officers in tactical gear to see 4 more coming up the stairs behind them. They tell me they recieved a report of two men entering my house with shotguns and shots fired inside the house. I was led down stairs by two of them while the other 6 searched upstairs for the "intruders". I find 4 more downstairs talking to my mother who's scared shitless. Then as fast as they came in they were gone, no "sorry to scare you" or "our bad" or anything...:whew:

Oh, I was pissed at first. Then I started thinking how lucky I was at the moment,. I had just gotten out of my work clothes (which are all black) and was only wearing basketball shorts, And normally since I only live with my mother and she's in a wheelchair, if I hear someone coming up the stairs I grab a gun. This is one case that I didn't...

Can you imagine how bad it would have been for me if a bunch of amp'ed up cops (most of whom have never seen any real action in our town) had come in and seen a man dressed all in black holding a gun...

I'm damn good with a gun, but not with those odds...

After they left I called a friend whose a former police officer in the UK and told him about it. When I mentioned that what really pissed me off was that they didn't even apologize, his reply was "Why should they, they didn't call in the false complaint. They were only doing their jobs. And If there had been two armed men hiding in your house, would you expect them to apologize then?" I guess he has a point...

None the less, my nerves are so frazzled, that I've smoked a pack and a half of Dunhill's in the past three hours...

I don't agree there should have been no appology! Just doing their job serving the public, make a mistake anywhere else and at least a bland "sorry to disturb" should be in order!!

No, what we have is more dangerous and worse worse than a SWAT team. We have a bunch of beat cops with SWAT gear, most of whom have never fired a wepon in the line of duty and aren't properly trained to use it...
