With the covid is porn drying up.

Sites seem to be scraping the bottom of the reserve barrell, the 'new' guys seem less attractive, like they were filmed by studios a year or two ago but were never released as better shoots and hotter guys were recruited along the way and published in their place.

If you think about, that is what has to be happening.:worried::duh:

I don't see it, porn drying up. Most studios release scenes as usual. That guys are less attractive is subjective and if true (doubtful) then it has not much to do with Covid. Studios are dependant on model applications and if no 'attractive' guys apply it is not the fault of the studio.

A good example is 'Cz€ch Hunt€r' - it has definitely gone down hill. I have noticed all along (including pre-covid) they tended to put the hottest guys on their main site, and uglier guys on their sister sites. So they do categorise guys according to looks (of course it makes financial sense to use hotter guys to drive traffic to the main site). And now, with covid, I do feel they are going back to guys they decided not to use.

Porn studios sometimes make movies and decide not to use them. Just a bad scene, or just because hotter guys came along and could be recruited the next day or the next week. B€1 Am1 is famous for it. Sometimes they decide to release a scene after it spends literally years on the shelf and then of course they even have a '0ut at la$t' series dedicated to scenes over the years that didn't make the cut. And that is a 'best of' the worst as it were.

So yeah I think some studios are going back and using uglier guys from the past that would never have made the cut other than for covid.

That's a fair general point. However I worked a lot more hours in 2020 than in 2019. So I actually had more time to spend on porn in 2019 than in 2020.

Either this was because the production team feared that the second wave of Covid would make filming difficult or that the guy that films the scenes likes to spend the winter in Dubai or Florida (the first reason seems more convincing to me).

Models for CH have always been a mixed bag: a few are good, many are mediocre, some are terrible. The recent scenes included Max!m B1khov and M@x F1llipi that have done scenes for WH. I like these models and I think they are above average.
Once again: studios are dependent upon model applications and if no 'attractive' models apply it is not the fault of a studio or a website. Plus: it shows that the guy behind the camera filmed too many scenes in a short period of time (my guess: 2 or 3 a day?). Furthermore: because of EU rules you can't film other people without their explicit permission. Until a year ago CH filmed on the streets, at train stations and shopping malls. This is no longer possible. A consequence is that CH has lost much of its real feel.

I think CH can use a new Hunter but it seems pretty difficult to find one that can do a decent interview with a model, have sex with a model and film it at the same time.

BA has always fimed scenes well in advance, this is nothing new. The main reason is that when a scene is released the model may get criticism from family and friends and stops filming. So BA many times films 5 to 10 scenes in advance before the first one is released. In the old days of video and DVD most Czech studios promised not to release these in the Czech Republic but in the internet age this promise is no longer valid.

As the owner of BA (Ge0rge Dur0y) is a real Scrooge (who would have thought that ...) no scenes go to waste, even if it is filmed 10 years ago. So every now and then we get a scene that is pretty old. This was so in the past and will be in the future.

Because of Covid BA did not go to South Africa to film scenes and instead filmed a lot of scenes this past summer in Prague.

I think it is too much of a coincidence that more ugly models than usual becomes a factor during a pandemic. I don't think handsome 'stunners' suddenly dry up over ugly guys. After all they have same immune systems overall. Basically pre-covid a studio could film ten scenes and discard e.g. 3 of them (as discussed CH also divert uglier models to the sister sites, and they have been doing this systematically for years). Now, they are rationing. Every scene has to be used. So, overall, I see a greater proportion of uglier guys. And that is not purely subjective. Short, fat, bad teeth, etc vs tall, built, great smile, etc Just glance over recent pages versus pages from 2019.

Yeah I agree Duroy is a bit smy. For example he deliberately films multiple scenes with a model before releasing even one. Reason: if you release e.g. a solo straight away and someone the model knows finds out, it can freak the model out 'omg everyone will find out even mom'. Then, they refuse to do more scenes. However do ten bareback scenes and keep em all under wraps and the model cannot pull back from exposure. Duroy has openly admitted tricking guys with these kinds of tactics. But hey, it's the porn business...

I can agree with the comments made, but I believe we are all possibly looking at our computer screens more during our "lockdown times", hence, we are becoming too critical with what we see and download.
I definately can say that my "downloading" has dramatically decreased in these recent times.

I also note that some studios, eg, LES and MC are regurgitating their old clips. In saying that, there are some studios like CM, that I can't wait to see each update and striving on like "nothing has happened", and very good luck to them !!

I definitely feel that modern porn isn't as enticing to me as old-school porn. Many of the studios that I used to like have really been scrapping at the bottom of the barrel lately for models, and I'm just not enamored by any current porn stars the way that I was 10 years ago.

Mardo, When it comes to CH I do agree with you as to the quality of the actors being used. Most of them are average to ugly (IMHO) with maybe one good attractive model each month. Most of their models appear to come from WH (or at least used to) and WH has also gone downhill. I thought the models fromCH60 to about CH400 were mostly good, now like I said maybe 25% are attractive.
