Thanks a lot for the three posts on Sweden in the early 1900, 1930s and 1940s!!!

The first of these posts starts with a number of pics from the small city of Åmål in the province of Dalsland. There's an old saying about Åmål which in English translation goes like this:

"'-Always something!' said Satan when he came to Åmål." (Swedish original: " 'Alltid nå't!' sa Fan när han kom till Åmål.")
