Two Mommies or Two Daddies?

If you were to be raised by a gay couple, would you prefer having two mommies or two daddies?

You would probably ride in a better car and live in a bigger house with two daddies (more income).

But two mommies would probably be more nurturing.

I think it would be two mommies for me.

Probably 2 Dads would be cooler but 2 moms would be fine too

I'm not a great supporter of same sex parenting. Wanna be gay and have kids - buy a dog I say. That's just my opinion.

Wow... just, wow. So because one is gay, then they should buy a dog? I bet you think single mothers should leave their kids to child protection since they don't fit the traditional family with a father and a mother.

Bloody good question.... I think it would have to be 2 dads (whose sisters are in a lesbian relationship, and live next door!!)

Great question! I am entirely unsure. However, I believe in every case, whether parenting within a same-sex couple, hetero couple, or single parent household, that mothers and/or fathers should gather a community of people around themselves and their children to influence and support them. I look at the isolation of the nuclear family in North America and it simply makes me cringe! It may be cliche, but maybe it does take a village to raise a child.

I think you get what you get when the sperm hits the egg. But, I believe it matters not by whom one is raised, rather, how one is raised.

When a child is born out of love or when a child is raised in love it does not matter if it is by 2 fathers. 2 mothers or a mixed couple, what matters is if the child is wanted and finds a loving, caring home/parents.

Some years ago this song was sung by Terrence Uphoff in the programm "Kinderen voor Kinderen" (children for children), it is an anual TV show on Dutch TV (VaraTV) in which children can sing about what keeps them busy, the children come up with an idea and the songs are produced by profesional musicians/text writers, but the children sing the songs themselves.

Terrence (obviously) sings in Dutch but it has an english translation, see video:





The idea of the program where this song comes from is not only to let the children be creative and let them make a show about what keeps them busy, but also to raise money (they make a CD / Video CD of every years concert) for programs to help children in need, this inside as well as outside the Netherlands, all children and adults work for FREE, all money that is made by selling the CD's / Video CD's goes to programs for children in need!

Over the last 25 years the "Kinderen voor Kinderen" has been a HUGE succes and they have raised millions of $$$ that way, but most important is has been/still is a "voice" for children for what keeps them busy
